Vashon Island

So on a rainy day, 1/15/2014, Steve decided to take us on a little adventure in the Puget Sound. There's lots of Islands to discover so we took a ferry to Vashon Island.

It was your typical ferry ride, except for the price, $25, ouch!

Spencer, he's looking for wildlife!

Lots to see!

Approaching the island on the ferry!

Of course we found a coffee house!

Yumm

It's very old and has a large roaster and grinder!

Gas prices are sky high here, right at $4.00 a gallon

We drove through lots of tree tunnels, too!

Found a lovely lookout, but it was so cloudy that we couldn't see much!

Mt Rainier is in the distance and one of the locals stopped and chatted a while about the amazing view on a clear day.

The water is so still... like a painting
This whole thing is still like a dream...
